How Photography Connects Us Summary

In the Ted talk, David Griffin elaborates on how photography connects us as humans. What photography does is it emulates a moment. It freezes it. Through your image, you’ll be able to tell a story through that moment. We can tell a story of pain, happiness, conflict, adventure, world issues, and so much more. Sometimes a symbol might be present in order to give a deeper meaning of the situation. Through pictures, we can sympathize or empathize. We are connected through the world in the pictures. We feel with the pictures.

Dead Poet Society In this video, the teacher talks about how we need to think for ourselves. That our words matter.

There are many reasons why we should read. When we read we are learning about ideas and the world - things that might matter in our life or in someone else's. When we read our grammar, writing, and fluency improve, too. Reading is also somewhere you can go when you don't want to simply focus on your own life. You can escape into other worlds.

How do you take control of your own learning?

Duckworth's video revolved around grit. She tells us that it isn't really about intelligence as such, or being born extraordinary. It's about having the will to learn, being excited and passionate about it. This is something that we need to have over a longer period of time.
In the old Apple commercial, before Apple became the norm for everyone, it shows us that we should think differently. It shows all the famous people who didn't think the same way as everyone else, and accomplished amazing things.
Michael Jordan says in a video that the reason he's become so successful is due to all the times that he failed, and improved because of it.
Also, this man talks about growth mindset.
